What is VLAN(Virtual LAN)
A virtual local area network (VLAN) is that type of network that virtual exist and logical group of devices (Computers or devices), servers and other network devices that appear in the same LAN despite their geographical location or distribution. A VLAN is a network that enable a network of devices and users to network in a that environment as if they exist in a one or single LAN and are used to share a single broadcast and also multicast domains. VLANs are designed in this way so we can achieve scalable network and secure network management and can get simply changes in network requirements and relocation of workstations and server nodes.
The purpose of VLAN is that we improve network performance and we can adopt appropriate security features.
